PEROXTESMO KM is for the detection of blood traces in criminal investigations and forensic practice. A sample of the suspicious material, measuring a few mm or so, is soaked in water or physiological sodium chloride solution. Then the PEROXTESMO paper is opened by seizing both ends of the plastic envelope and tearing them apart. The wet sample, soaked for about 1 minute, is placed on the test paper. If traces of blood are present, a distinct discoloration appears after a few seconds.
