Total nitrogen (TNb) is a cumulative parameter. TNb stands for total bound nitrogen. It is composed of organic nitrogen (e.g. urea, peptides or proteins) and inorganic or mineral nitrogen (ammonium/ammonia, nitrate and nitrite).
